Gull Lake Centre is at a crossroads |
After extensive research, study and consultation, it was determined that the camp’s present location has great potential. But it was evident to all that there was a need to drastically improve, expand and redevelop our campus for ministry. As a result, work began on drawing up a comprehensive plan for the overall long-term redevelopment of the campus.

Our Ministry Plan |

Our History
With land at Gull Lake donated by Dr. C.C. McLaurin, Gull Lake Baptist Camp was established in 1920 as a place to play and pray. The years following World War II saw the camp change from a place to retreat to a family camp with a vacation Bible school. As each new generation brought changing expectations to Gull Lake, the growing ministry required its facilities to evolve. New winterized cabins and a large dining hall were constructed in the ‘70s and ‘80s and additional property was purchased for a 50-site trailer park. In 1993 a government building was purchased and transformed into a 40-bed Retreat Centre.

Highly Relational
We maintain a leader ratio of one leader for every three campers and small cabin groups that consist of six campers for every two leaders. This highly relational approach is a point of market differentiation and allows us to meet campers where they are at in personal and significant ways. On average, the competition is closer to a 1:5 ratio.
